Coors / I-40

District three recently celebrated the grand opening of its design-build reconstruction project of the Coors / I-40 Interchange. The reconstruction of the interchange which took eighteen months to complete included; the new Coors Blvd bridge over I-40; the new northbound frontage road from I-40 to Ouray Road; two new pedestrian bridges over interstate 40 located on the east and west sides of Coors Blvd; the new Ouray road connecting east and west businesses and neighborhoods; the new southbound frontage road from Quail Road to Ouray Road; the new southbound Coors Blvd to eastbound I-40 fly-over; and the new eastbound I-40 to northbound Coors Blvd direct connection. These changes will have an incredibly positive impact on the 140,000 vehicles that travel through this intersection in a single day. The NMDOT is grateful for the positive attitude displayed by the surrounding neighborhoods and businesses as well as all commuters that utilize the interchange. The NMDOT would also like to thank the community for their continued support on all future GRIP projects.
